Ethel Khanis
Ethel Khanis has been a high school chemistry teacher, scientist, and is currently experiencing chronic illness through the lens of long covid. As a first generation American of Jewish refugees from the Soviet Bloc, she has experienced the world through many lenses and lived in California, Pennsylvania, and currently calls Brooklyn, NY home.
Ethel has a BS in chemistry and earned two masters, in education and conservation science, and has received two teaching fellowships. When not playing with her dog or crosswording with her wife, she enjoys bread baking, knitting, and collecting fun animal facts.
