Monique Renee Harris was born an African American woman with Cerebral Palsy. She likes to pick scabs and sunburns. Her poetry and stories have been published in Magnets & Ladders, Wordgathering, Seeing Beyond the Surface, and Dryland. In 2019, she self-published a book of poetry and art titled Strength and Tragedy: the Mystery of the Blue Lady. She lives in Emeryville, California. URevolution recently published her essay "How Selfish Can I Be?" She lives in Emeryville, California with her son.
